Bad Astronaut Brewing Co.
Biography & Highlights
The parking lot on Fulton Street fills up fast once the weekend bands plug in. You walk past the giant mural on the side of the building and head straight through the roll up doors. It’s loud, concrete, and the humid Houston air hangs heavy inside the taproom until the industrial fans get going.
The stage sits right near the brewing tanks, so you're dodging fermentation equipment while trying to grab a spot near the front. Sound bounces hard off the metal walls, making the guitars bite a little sharper than usual. Bartenders keep the taps moving fast, pouring IPAs and lagers into plastic cups while the crowd spills out toward the picnic tables on the patio.
There's no fancy cover charge, just drop a few bucks in the tip bucket for the touring indie acts and local noise bands. It gets sweaty and chaotic when the room packs out for a Saturday showcase, but you can always catch a breeze outside near the food trucks parked by the street.
